Google Maps Goes Retro……
Remember the good old days of 8 bit gaming, the wonderful RPG games “Which way Now?” and the stunning visuals of a cassette based game loading away in the background “eeeeeeeerrrrr weeeeeeeeee” (bad textual noise of a cassette game loading!!).
Google Maps has decided to bring this all back to us this April Fools weekend with the 8 BIT VERSION GOOGLE MAPS. Here are the 8 bit Nerds 4 U Offices and locations:-
The whole 8-bit version is a big April fools joke, with Google announcing Maps for the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) via the YouTube video (below), this being the case, this would be the first release on cartridge for the NES in 18 years:
Last year, the search giant released “Gmail Motion“ which allowed users to use hand signals to perform tasks in Gmail. And when users searched for “Helvetica,” Google returned results in Comic Sans.
We’re still a day away from April Fool’s, so we imagine that there are more tricks up Google’s sleeve, as well as most of the major websites on the internet.
THIS WEEKEND – DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ!!
