Service Pack 1 for Microsoft Windows 7 (All versions) is now out and live and available from the Microsoft Download Centre.  No doubt within the next couple of days you will be prompted that updates are indeed available.

Windows 7 SP1 is having few security updates, stability updates, RemoteFX for improved 3-D graphical experience. It will also have the updates released for Windows 7 after the final release.

As per few reports, Microsoft already started working on Windows 7 SP2 which is expected to have 132 updates for X86 system and 171 updates for X64 system.

If you do not know if you are 32bit or 64bit then the chances are you are 32bit (as only a technical user would run 64bit) , however if you are unsure there is a 32bit and 64bit version available HERE.
